A history harvest is a community-driven project where people gather to share, digitize, and preserve personal artifacts, documents, and stories related to a particular time period, event, or theme. Community members bring in items such as photographs, letters, and memorabilia for SAAACAM staff and volunteers to scan, and if they'd like to share their stories regarding the history harvest theme SAAACAM staff record them for posterity. This collaborative effort helps capture diverse perspectives and enriches our understanding of local history and culture -- for without the community, there is no community archive! This collection of oral histories were captured at the Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah on November 23, 2025 for SAAACAM's Church History Harvest Project, funded by the Lily Endowment Foundation.
